Luleå's hockey sticks are missing ahead of tonight's CHL semi-final against Swiss side Zug. This could cost the SHL club dearly.

"The players' sticks did not come with the plane, they were left in Copenhagen. And if they don't arrive in time, we will have to buy new ones," says deputy sports director Ulf Engman to Norrbottens-Kuriren .

It would probably cost 150,000 to 200,000 kronor. The players can't each have a stick.

Luleå was allowed to borrow sticks from opponent Zug on Monday.

"That was nice of them. If they hadn't done that, we wouldn't have been able to train," says Engman.

On Tuesday afternoon, the sticks were still missing.

We just hope that the sticks arrive on time for the match.

The return match in Luleå will be played next Tuesday.
