Luleå turned the top meeting around: "Got crap from our captain"

Lead with 3–1 and a significant game advantage in the top meeting. Then Färjestad lost everything. Luleå turned it around and won 4–3 after overtime. We got a lot of crap from our captain in the last period break, says the match winner and two-goal scorer Brendan Shinnimin.

In two periods, it was mostly about Färjestad.

The dark horse Lucas Forsell contributed with two goals to Karlstad's team taking a 3-1 lead after two periods.

He scored his first goal of the season on Tuesday and doubled up on Thursday evening.

But the 21-year-old forward from Västerås did not get to be the matchwinner.

Instead, it was a 33-year-old Canadian.

In the third period, Luleå forced their way and managed to reduce the score in a power play through Brendan Shinnimin, before defenseman Erik Gustafsson equalized to 3-3.

Then, the criticized home goalkeeper Damian Clara played without a stick, having lost it, something that happened several times in the third period.

In overtime, Shinnimin scored in a breakaway and told TV4 Play about the team captain Erik Gustavsson's harsh words during the intermission between the second and third periods.

He told everyone to be smarter, dig deep, and work together. He is a great and fantastic leader, says Shinnimin.
