Luleå defender Oscar Engsund had to be carried out on a stretcher after a nasty hit in the away game against Timrå in the SHL. Luleå then also lost the match 2–3, despite a goal from Linus Omark.

It sucks. I think we're having a good second period and have a good "go" in the team. We conceded a ridiculous goal there, says Luleå player Filip Eriksson to TV4.

The arena became completely silent when Luleåbacken lost their edge and thundered into the goal after a duel behind their own goal.

He went into the rim head first.

Engsund was able to move and spoke to medical staff before being carried out on a stretcher with his face covered in blood. The incident occurred after just over two minutes of play.

Maybe it was the nasty accident that caused Luleå to concede two goals in the first period, when Timrå's Jonathan Dahlén became the two-goal scorer.

Luleå was able to catch up in the second period to 2–2, after goals by Filip Eriksson and Linus Omark, which was the veteran's first goal since returning to Luleå.

But in the third period, Marcus Westfält scored for the home team, which meant the second straight loss for the reigning champions.

Very nice.

I don't know if it was well deserved, but we had a bit of a bounce against us at the end, so I think it was time to take three points so it was nice, says goal scorer Westfält after the match.
