Lula and Trump agree on cooperation against crime

US President Donald Trump and Brazilian President Lula da Silva have agreed in a telephone conversation to intensify cooperation in the fight against organized crime, Brazil announced in a statement.

The two leaders spoke for 40 minutes, and Lula highlighted police efforts carried out in Brazil with the aim of financially limiting organized crime that has branches operating from other countries.

Trump expressed a willingness to work with Brazil in the fight against these groups, according to the statement from Brazil.

Trump himself says they had a good conversation, and mentions that they talked about trade.
