Lukewarmness in Asian stock markets as South Korea's Kospi up 2.7 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng down 0.8 percent

South Korea's Kospi is among the biggest gainers, up 2.7 percent.

In China, Shenzhen climbs by 0.8 percent while Shanghai rises slightly less, by 0.1 percent.

However, the Hong Kong-based Hang Seng is down 0.8 percent.

Japan's Nikkei 225 is up 0.1 percent, while the broader Topix rises 0.5 percent.
