FIFA has announced it will investigate the scenes following Spain's 1-0 victory in the World Cup final on Sunday. The aftermath turned ugly after Paredes grabbed Spain's Eric Garcia by the throat.
"I think it's unbearable and unacceptable from players of that calibre, who I praised in the days before and who have a fantastic coach," de la Fuente told TVE.
Paredes has not commented on the row. After the final, he instead thanked his country and wrote on Instagram that he "loves you, today and forever," directed at Argentina.
