The cancelled flights are shorter-haul flights, and will result in the airline saving around 40,000 tons of jet fuel.
"The schedule changes mean that the number of unprofitable short-haul flights in the Lufthansa Group network is reduced," the airline wrote in a press release.
This comes against the backdrop that jet fuel has become twice as expensive since the war between the US, Israel and Iran began on February 28, according to Lufthansa.
