With weak opinion polls, Liberal leader Simona Mohamsson has described the national convention as a new start for the party and a way to rally members for a strong election campaign.
But Luf's union board does not want to participate in the central campaign work with the current leadership, and is boycotting the meeting in Karlstad to prioritize its own campaign instead.
"We are busy with campaign preparations, and there we will meet young voters and make Luf bigger and stronger," writes chairman Anton Holmlund to TV4.
Luf has harshly criticized Mohamsson's shift on collaborating with the SD in government and, in connection with this, demanded the resignation of the party board.
