The Swede is after 15 played holes at +6 for the day, after six bogeys. In total, Åberg has eight over par with Thursday's result included.

But Åberg's weak play has an explanation. The 25-year-old has been afflicted with migraine.

It's not the first time (he has migraine), but now it's probably caused by the humid heat that is right now. We hope it lets go, but I see that he's struggling with it, says Åberg's coach Hans Larsson to Viaplay.

Åberg has received headache tablets from Larsson and teammate Adam Scott.

He has taken them. But I see, he's bending over and feeling pretty bad, so we'll see what happens, says Larsson.

With his current eight over par, Åberg is not entirely safe over the qualifying limit, which is expected to be exactly eight over par.

The other Swede Joakim Lagergren, who is currently 14 over par, will likely miss the qualifying limit.

Even Masters winner Rory McIlroy risks missing the qualifying limit. The Northern Irishman is, just like Åberg, at eight over par for the time being.

American JJ Spaun has had to relinquish the lead to his compatriot Sam Burns and Thriston Lawrence from South Africa, both are three under par.

The competition is ongoing.
