Åberg finished the round strongly with three straight birdies and is now at -10 overall (tied for eleventh place). The 26-year-old is three strokes behind Spaniard Manuel Elvira, who leads at -13.
"It felt a bit up and a bit down today. I did some things well but had a bit of trouble off the tee, although I often managed to salvage it fairly well when I had the chance," Åberg said afterwards, according to Svensk Golf.
Alex Norén is also near the top. The Swede is at -9 overall after finishing Saturday's round with a 69.
The winner receives just over 15 million kronor in prize money. Last year, it was Norén who took home the lucrative competition.
