The 24-year-old Italian was frustrated, to say the least, after the first set in the Swedish Open men's singles final against Russia's Andrey Rublev, reports Aftonbladet.
After losing the set 4-6, he tore his shirt, threw away his racket and tossed his cap. But his anger did not help. Darderi also lost the second set 3-6 and thus failed to defend his title from 2025.
For Andrey Rublev, it was his second title in Båstad. He also won the tournament in 2023.
