The winning team’s Swedish players put in a strong performance and were involved in all of the club’s goals.
After trailing for just under a period and a half, Viktor Arvidsson equalized, with Lucas Raymond among those assisting.
In the third period, Arvidsson struck again, assisting on Emmitt Finnie’s 2-2 goal.
With just over a minute left in the game, Raymond set up a teammate to force overtime.
After a scoreless overtime period, it was Raymond’s turn to step up again - this time in a shootout. The 24-year-old scored the only goal, securing Detroit’s 4-3 victory.
