Detroit ended a two-game losing streak with a 5–3 road win over Ottawa, thanks in part to Swedish NHL star Lucas Raymond.

The winning team took command right from the start and ended the first period with a 3–0 lead.

16 minutes into the second period, Raymond extended the lead with a wrist shot, breaking the opposing team's momentum after two straight goals to make it 4–2.

The 23-year-old Swede has been selected for the Olympic squad for the tournament in Milan and Cortina in just over a month.
