Bergvall was signed from Djurgården of the Allsvenskan in 2024 and has since made 78 appearances for the Spurs. According to The Athletic, the 20-year-old has now asked the club to leave.
"There is a lot of interest from England and other clubs in Europe," writes British journalist David Ornstein.
The midfielder has struggled to get playing time since new coach Roberto De Zerbi arrived in the spring. Tottenham is also rumored to be pursuing new midfielders for the squad, including Newcastle's Sandro Tonali.
Bergvall has been allowed to play in Sweden's two opening World Cup matches, against Tunisia and the Netherlands.
Lucas Bergvall has a contract with Tottenham until 2031.
