Vattenfall's operating profit was almost halved during the second quarter, from almost 11.9 billion kronor the previous year to 6.1 billion kronor. This at the same time as net sales decreased by 3 percent to 50.5 billion kronor.
"The low electricity price mainly affected the revenue from Vattenfall's hydropower in northern Sweden", writes Vattenfall's CEO Anna Borg in the interim report.
