Expressen was the first to report the hiatus. It is due to a Danish version of the programme now being filmed, according to Aftonbladet, something Netflix has now confirmed to TT.
"It is true that we are not making a Swedish version right now as we are making 'Love is Blind: Denmark', which has been planned for a long time. When we have information to share about a possible upcoming Swedish season, we will do so," Netflix writes to TT.
All of the European versions of the programme are partly recorded in Strängnäs, including the Danish one that will be broadcast in 2027.
"Right now the focus is on the Danish production, which has been planned for a long time," Netflix's Swedish PR agency told Aftonbladet this summer.
