However, valuable collections and jewels have been removed from the gallery and will not be available for viewing, AFP reports.
The high-profile heist included the theft of tiaras, necklaces and earrings. The loot has never been recovered, except for a crown that belonged to Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III. The crown, which was badly damaged, was dropped by the thieves during the robbery.
It was on October 19 last year that masked thieves carried out the spectacular theft in just a few minutes.
The world-famous museum in Paris reopened after the robbery, while the Apollo Gallery, where the theft occurred, has remained closed.
