After 40 years, the lottery balls will soon be drawn for the last time on Norwegian television. NRK, which airs the lottery draws, has decided to end its collaboration with Norsk Tipping, Norway's equivalent of Svenska Spel.
"There is less need for this type of content," television director Jan Egil Ådland told NRK.
Once drawing around half a million viewers, the broadcasts now attract about 30,000, according to NRK. The last broadcast will take place in April.
