The nightly curfew in the southern parts of the million city Los Angeles in the USA is lifted, announces the city's mayor Karen Bass according to AP.
The curfew was introduced about a week ago to counter the extensive and to some extent violent protests against President Donald Trump's migration policy.
According to Bass, the curfew has protected businesses, restaurants and residents in the city from being exposed to vandals.
Since the protests broke out on June 7, the police in Los Angeles have arrested 575 people, according to LA Times.
