Edmonton led 2-0 when Kempe scored a reducer at the end of the first period. The Swede then played forward to Kevin Fiala's equalizing goal.

Los Angeles managed to take control of the match and led for a good while into the third period before Edmonton came back with two quick goals by Evander Kane and Evan Bouchard, with only ten seconds in between.

The air then went out of Los Angeles, Edmonton scored another goal and extended their lead to 7-4 after a goal in an empty net.

Kempe is, after the loss, up to four goals and five assists in the playoffs and is leading the scoring league.

Los Angeles leads the eighth-final series 2-1 in matches.

Jacob Markström saved 25 shots for New Jersey in the win against Carolina. The 3-2 victory after overtime meant a reduction in the eighth-final for New Jersey, which is trailing 1-2 in matches.

The Slovak Simon Nemec became the match hero for New Jersey with his goal 2.36 into overtime.
