Los Angeles County has voted to declare a state of emergency that provides the opportunity to give support to residents who are said to have been economically injured by the country's immigration authority's raids.

The decision means, among other things, that residents can receive rent relief and help with legal support.

This summer, the migration authority ICE intensified raids where thousands of undocumented migrants were arrested in Los Angeles, often at workplaces such as factories, nail salons and construction sites. This has led to massive street protests, and Trump sent the national guard and marine soldiers to the city.
