L'Oréal reports decline, cites headwinds in Asia

French cosmetics maker L'Oréal is down 7.8 percent in futures trading on the Paris stock exchange after an unexpectedly weak fourth-quarter report.

L'Oréal cited a continued challenging Asian market.

Total sales were 11.2 billion euros, compared with an expected 11.3 billion.

For the whole of 2025, L'Oréal reports a 4.4 percent year-on-year decline in net profit to 6.1 billion euros. Analysts had expected an average of 6.5 billion, according to Bloomberg.

Like-for-like sales for the full year increased 4.0 percent, compared with an expected 4.1 percent.
