In November, Dagens Nyheter revealed that food giant Nestlé chose to break with SCA after several controversies surrounding the company's forestry operations in northern Sweden.
In February of this year, the e-commerce company Zalando made a similar announcement - and now L'Oréal is following suit, becoming the third major company in just over four months to break with the Swedish forestry group.
In an email to DN, the company confirms that wood fiber from SCA will be phased out of the company's supply chain.
"This decision has been made to ensure compliance with our policy for responsible and sustainable purchasing," the company writes.
