When the police stopped a car in Sundsvall at the end of November, they could hardly see the driver behind the frosty windows. Now he has been convicted of reckless driving, reports Sundsvalls Tidning.
The driver, a man in his 70s, was on his way home from the store when he was stopped. According to the police, the visibility was so poor that it posed a significant risk to "life and health".
The man himself denies any wrongdoing. He has said that the windshield wiper broke during the trip and that he tried to scrape the windows several times and that he also stopped to do so.
The District Court sentences the man to 40 day-fines.
