Norén is unlikely to be one of the main players this weekend at Augusta National, but sometimes even the small victories are important.
The Stockholm native has struggled in his four previous major starts, making the cut only once (2019). Now he gets to play two more rounds this weekend after following up Thursday's 77 with a 71 on Friday. It was actually the first time Norén had managed to go under par in a round at the Masters.
"I played some great golf the last eleven holes. It was extremely fun," said Norén, who finished at +4 and made the cut by the smallest possible margin.
"You have to be happy with the little things sometimes," said the 43-year-old.
He is tied for 47th place.
