Djurgården's goal drought had stretched the equivalent of a little more than four football matches. But after another goalless half, away to Piteå, Johanna Renmark felt that something was up.
"We have the ball the most, we create the most. And I think we'll have even more chances in the second half, when we tire them out," Renmark told Viaplay at halftime.
Shortly afterwards, the 22-year-old broke in from the left and scored 1-0 with a beautiful long-range shot. The goal, in the 54th minute, was Djurgården's first since April 25 and was enough to secure victory.
It was last year's fourth-placed team's second three-point win of the season - the first came in the opener against Växjö - and sends the Stockholm team away from the bottom of the table.
