Lois Boisson Climbs 296 Spots in Tennis Rankings After French Championships Success

The French tennis player Lois Boisson made a success in the French Championships when she made her way all the way to the semi-final. Now the 22-year-old has been heavily rewarded in the world ranking. The 22-year-old has risen a whole 296 places - from 361 to 65.

On the way to the semifinals, Boisson among other things knocked out world number one Jessica Pegula and world number six Mirra Andreeva in front of an exalted home crowd. In the semifinals, it then stopped against American world number two Coco Gauff, who then won the tournament after a final victory over Aryna Sabalenka. Belarusian Sabalenka, however, retains the top spot on the new ranking despite the final loss.
