The all-Canadian final in the North American premier league went four games before Montreal finally lifted the Walter Cup as champions, claiming the title for the first time with an on-the-road win over Ottawa.
Abby Roque was the big-game hero for the visitors. The 28-year-old scored to make it 1–0 and 2–0 past Ottawa's Gwyneth Philips in goal.
Lina Ljungblom, who joined Montreal from Modo for the 2024–25 season, ended the match and the final series with a solo goal to make it 4–0 with just under five minutes left.
