The song is included on a compilation album with other AI-modified music from Elevenlabs, an AI company that does "incredible things," according to Minnelli.
The music is AI-generated, but the vocals are her own, she emphasizes.
Among the other tracks is a song with Art Garfunkel.
“Music has always evolved alongside technology,” Garfunkel says on Elevenlabs’ website.
"The human remains central. My voice combined with technology just opens another door," Garfunkel continues.
Other parts of the industry are concerned that AI will undermine human musicians and imitate their work without them receiving proper compensation.
