The Swedish Church's film prize 2025 goes to the film "Leva lite" by director Fanny Ovesen. The prize was awarded in connection with the film's premiere at the Gothenburg Film Festival.
"Leva lite" is about Laura and Alexandra who are on a couchsurfing trip through Europe, which means they stay cheaply with local hosts who offer accommodation. At the first stop in Warsaw, it's partying right away, but when Laura wakes up naked with a strange guy without remembering what happened, it's the start of a completely new outer and inner journey.
"Fanny Ovesen has made an impressive feature film debut, both in terms of content and dramaturgy. She dares to depict a difficult and important subject, where the tension is maintained throughout the entire film", says Mikael Ringlander, chairman of the jury for the Swedish Church's film prize, in a press release.
