The agreement has been signed by the investor and approved by the board. It will be an important part of the next phase for the league, driven by and for the players, says tour CEO Scott O'Neil ahead of this week's competition in New York, according to Svensk Golf.

The investor's name was not disclosed by O'Neil.

The tour was started by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) and is now in its fifth season. World stars such as Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm were attracted, but the Saudis have announced that funding for the tour will end after 2026.
