According to the British newspaper, the staff - around 300 people - received the news at a meeting on Monday.
Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund (PIF) announced earlier this year that funding for the breakaway tour would end after 2026, and the LIV tour confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that operations would be scaled back as a result.
It was recently reported that the tour has signed an agreement with a new lead investor, but no details have been revealed.
It is still unclear whether big stars like Bryson DeChambeau or Jon Rahm will play on the LIV tour next season.
When the season ended in Indianapolis last week, the prize pool was greatly reduced.
