The Lilla August Prize is launching a new reading and writing promotion project for young people, the Swedish Publishers Association said in a press release. The goal is to reach more young people and increase interest in both reading and writing, something that will be done through workshops at schools and libraries but also digitally.
Special teaching materials with teacher guides will also be developed.
The Lilla August Prize was established in 1994 as a literary prize for young people between the ages of 16 and 20 and is awarded annually at the August Gala. The winner receives 15,000 kronor.
