Bengt Nordin founded his agency Nordin Agency in 1990 and became one of the first modern Swedish literary agents who represented authors to their publishers and launched on the international market.
It was at that time a controversial way of working which shook the Swedish publishing industry. Nordin created his agency after having been, among other things, book club manager at Bonniers and CEO at Wahlströms publishing house.
Among Nordin's most well-known clients were Marianne Fredriksson, Liza Marklund and Camilla Läckberg.
"As a newly debuted author in 2003, it was a crazy gamble to ask for a meeting with him. But he saw something in me. And he became the catapult that started my career", writes Läckberg on Instagram.
