Lisa Nilsson takes a place in a row of previous winners, including Håkan Hellström, Laleh and Ulf Lundell.
The jury's motivation reads: "because she with uninterrupted further education has acquired the entire art of song from tone to text, conveyed with a unique stage presence".
In the new issue of We, Lisa Nilsson tells about a recording of Evert Taube's poem "Och skulle det vara så", which she made with Evert's son Sven-Bertil at his home in London.
"There were photos of Evert and it struck me that they were a son's pictures of his father. It clicked for me: He is someone's dad!"
The Taube scholarship was established in 1960 by the magazine and Evert Taube himself. The scholarship amount is 50,000 kronor.
