It is a few days before Christmas 2021 when Linnéa Claeson is on her way to her job as a lawyer. Her personal protection team gives her fifteen minutes to pack, then drives her to a safe house. She will stay there for 147 nights.
Claeson had been a public voice for women’s rights for many years, but after years of persecution and threats, the situation became so serious that she was forced to go into hiding.
“It is a book about stalkers, love and violence. About a world in turmoil and, at the same time, about refusing to give up,” Linnéa Claeson says in a press release from Bokförlaget Forum about her autobiographical book, “There Will Always Be a Spring.”
