Linköping is Swedish champion in volleyball for the first time on the women's side. 3–0 in sets (27–25, 25–17, 28–26) in the fourth SM final against Hylte/Halmstad secured the SM gold through 3–1 in matches.
Volleyball gold is not unusual in the city. Linköping took five between 2010 and 2019, but all by the men's team. In 2020, they disbanded the men's elite team and concentrated the effort on the women.
On Wednesday evening, it bore fruit. In the team's first SM final, it was gold directly.
