Lindsey Vonn, who was injured in the women's Olympic downhill race, has given an update from her hospital bed. "I'm finally starting to feel more like myself, but I have a long, long way to go," Vonn said in a video on Instagram.

The 41-year-old has already had three surgeries.

"I have another surgery tomorrow. Hopefully it goes well, and then I can potentially leave the hospital and go home, where I will need another surgery," the American said.

Vonn came to the Olympics with a torn cruciate ligament, but chose to compete anyway. In the downhill, she skied into a gate and crashed.

"That's how it is right now. I'm just in the hospital, completely immobile. But I have a lot of friends and family who have come to visit me, and the staff and the incredible team here have been amazing, so I feel very lucky," Vonn said.
