Vonn lost her balance after a jump and slid into the safety net. After receiving medical treatment, the 41-year-old skied slowly towards the finish line.
On Instagram, Vonn confirmed that she injured her left knee and will undergo several examinations.
"Very tough just a week before the Olympics. But if there's one thing I can do, it's make a comeback," wrote Vonn, who is one of the biggest names at the Olympics and one of the favorites in the downhill race that will be decided on February 8.
Vonn's career has been as successful as it has been plagued by injuries. She made a comeback last season after knee surgery.
Only three of the first six skiers made it down in the snowstorm in Crans-Montana - and after Vonn's crash, the competition was halted.
