I may never compete again and that would be perfectly fine, but I'm not in a position emotionally to make that decision right now, says Vonn, who is expected to be able to walk short distances again next week after months in a wheelchair and crutches.
It was in February, during the Olympics in Italy, that Vonn crashed and suffered a leg fracture that required eight surgeries; at least one surgery remains to repair the cruciate ligament she tore a week before the Olympics.
Once I have my cruciate ligament fixed, there will be another six months of rehab, so I have at least a year and a half ahead of me before I can get back to 100 percent, just during training in the gym.
