Several Swedish players were angry after the referee's decision during Friday's match in Zenica (1–1). The question is whether national team captain Victor Nilsson Lindelöf was the angriest of all.

The centre-back was first out of the locker room and hurried through the mixed zone without stopping for the assembled press corps.

“Will not stand in line”

"I was very frustrated, I wanted to win the game. Then I didn't hear anyone calling my name either, I'm not going to stand there in line and wait for someone to want to talk," Lindelöf said during Sunday's press conference ahead of Monday's match against Romania.

The blue and yellow team has had to deal with a number of injuries and illnesses during the ongoing national team training camp. But for the team captain, it was nothing that softened the disappointment after the dropped points.

I think we played a good game and deserved the three points. So it's that mix, conceding a late goal and not getting the three points that I still think we deserved.

“Good thing I didn't stay”

In retrospect, Victor Nilsson Lindelöf shares his teammates' dissatisfaction with the refereeing against Bosnia-Herzegovina. Above all, he is questioning the free kicks the home team received that led to the Bosnian equaliser.

Maybe it was a good thing I didn't stop, maybe I would have said some stupid things then. But I didn't think the level of the referee was very good.

Fellow midfielder Eric Smith says it's understandable that the captain was angry.

He's a competitive person and wants to win. We all are. He sacrifices his body and has played three games in a short time. Then there were also some decisions that didn't go our way, so I think it was a mix of everything.

On Monday, Romania awaits the Swedish national team in Bucharest.
