Veteran Victor Nilsson Lindelöf is back in the national team's starting eleven – and as team captain. He plays to the left in the three-man defensive line against Kosovo in the World Championship qualifier tonight. Daniel Svensson is also new in the eleven compared to the 0–2 loss against Switzerland on Friday evening.

Jon Dahl Tomasson makes two changes to the team, Ken Sema and Jesper Karlström will start on the bench.

In comes Nilsson Lindelöf, who plays his first international match since the 5–1 win against Northern Ireland at the end of March.

"Victor has shown fine and mature leadership all week", says Jon Dahl Tomasson to the football association's website.

The national team captain also makes a swap, Gabriel Gudmundsson is moved up one notch, from left back to left midfielder. Inside him, Svensson replaces Karlström.

"Gabriel has played in this position some in his club teams. Daniel is good at playing with few touches in tight spaces, he is good in positional play too and is used to playing on the midfield" says Tomasson.

Starting eleven (3–5–2): Viktor Johansson – Gustaf Lagerbielke, Isak Hien, Victor Nilsson Lindelöf – Alexander Bernhardsson, Lucas Bergvall, Yasin Ayari, Daniel Svensson, Gabriel Gudmundsson – Viktor Gyökeres, Alexander Isak.

Kosovo (4–4–2): Arijanet Muric – Ilir Krasniqi, Kreshnik Hajrizi, Albian Hajdari, Dion Gallapeni – Mergim Vojvoda, Veldin Hodza, Leon Avdullahu, Florent Muslija – Fisnik Asllani, Vedat Muriqi.

Kickoff at Ullevi in Gothenburg is at 20.45.
