The story is about Alva, who moves around Sweden with her mother. Alva's mother writes about haunted houses, and as soon as she finishes writing about one house, they move on to the next.
The Children's Radio jury, made up of three 12-year-olds, particularly appreciates how the book "manages to build up the tension and the unexpected turns that the story takes".
"I am moved, honored and incredibly happy to receive the Children's Radio Book Prize! The fact that the children themselves read, discussed, liked and voted for the winner makes it extra nice and special," says Linda Johansson in a press release.
Linda Johansson, formerly known as Åkerström, has published a number of books for young people, including the "Bloksberg trilogy".
