John Hanse is directing the stage version of the book. His most recent directing assignment was the contemporary drama "The Swedish Discontent" at Helsingborg City Theatre this spring.

During the Gothenburg Book Fair, Lina Wolff will take part, according to a press release, in a conversation about what happens "when a novel leaves the reader's imagination and becomes living theatre."

It has long been clear that the book will also be made into a film. Lina Wolff published her novel in 2025, and it was awarded the August Prize that same year.
