Thousands of supporters of Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro had gathered in the rain in the city of Brasilia when lightning struck. At least 89 people were injured, several of them seriously, according to emergency services.
Bolsonaro was sentenced to 27 years in prison at the end of last year for a failed coup attempt. The meeting had been arranged by a member of parliament to demand amnesty for Bolsonaro.
47 of the injured were taken to hospital, 11 of them are considered to have more serious injuries.
