Sofie Gynning will soon be involved in the production of "A Very Small Person" by Lisa Aschan. Later this fall, she will do the lighting design for Albert Camus' classic "Caligula" at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern.
Benny Fredriksson, who died in 2018, was CEO of Stockholm City Theatre from 2002 and of Kulturhuset Stadsteatern between 2013 and 2017. He was married to Anne Sofie von Otter, who established the prize together with Fredriksson's former employer to reward cultural creators who work in his spirit. The prize money is 100,000 kronor.
This year, an honorary award will also be presented to Dmitri Plax, artistic director of Dramaten.doc.
