"It is of course sad to leave Umeå, but everything has its time and it will be fun to come home again," Dower Nilsson told Frölunda's website.

Liam Dower Nilsson finished second in the Swedish Hockey League's scoring race with 57 points (21 goals and 36 assists) in 51 games and was named the league's best forward.

Now Björklöven is making a comeback in the SHL after 25 years, but without Dower Nilsson, who signed a two-year contract with Frölunda. He had left Frölunda for the Umeå club in 2023.

His younger brother Noah Dower Nilsson, 21, left Frölunda after last season and has signed an NHL contract with Detroit.
