LHC managed to identify the two supporters – who are now receiving the maximum penalty of two years' suspension from all SHL hockey, writes SVT.

Jönköpings-Posten was the first to publish the news.

In connection with the match, the fans are said to have shown pictures on their mobile phones of Liv in an attempt to mock HV fans.

The penalties that could have been imposed were 18 or 24 months' suspension. LHC chose the longest suspension.

According to Jönköpings-Posten, LHC's club director Carl-Johan Stålhammar had a verbal meeting with the supporters who are said to have been very remorseful.

Former HV goalkeeper Stefan Liv died in a plane crash in 2011 while playing in the KHL.
