Robert Lewandowski became the big match hero for Barcelona in the La Liga premiere away against Valencia at Mestalla.
Valencia initiated the goal scoring through Hugo Duro in the 44th minute. A few minutes later, in added time, Robert Lewandowski stepped forward and equalized, set up by the 17-year-old super talent Lamine Yamal.
In the 49th minute, Lewandowski made himself noticed again, and scored his second goal of the evening. This time on a penalty.
Lamine Yamal started from the beginning, despite a tumultuous week where his father was seriously injured in a knife attack. Yamal made a big success during the European Championship earlier this summer, and was one of the more influential players in Spain's gold team.
Earlier in the evening, Osasuna and Leganés played 1-1.
