Rising star Leo Carlsson scored two goals when his Anaheim beat Boston.
Early in the first period, while shorthanded, the 20-year-old Swede got hold of the puck near his own goal, chased across the ice and shot, via a pass to and from teammate Alexander Killorn, 1–0 to Anaheim.
It was a good start with many scoring opportunities. It felt pretty good, says Carlsson to reporters after the game.
In the third period, Carlsson struck again. After a pass in front of the opponent's goal, he scored a goal, Anaheim's fifth for the evening.
The scoring fest continued for the home team, who scored another goal in the third, and despite Boston reducing the score, they never came close. Anaheim won 6–2.
